What is a Methadone Prescription Program?

Rehab clinics often prescribe Methadone as part of medication-assisted treatment programs. Though the FDA has approved this drug to be used as part of treatment for opioid use disorders, recently, it issued a warning which disclosed that Methadone use is evident to produce the following side effects in users:

Dependence

Relentless

Sleep Problems

Chest Pain

Now you may ask, is there any alternative to Methadone? Luckily, yes: Suboxone® is considered to be a safe, risk-free, and FDA-approved medication. Furthermore, Suboxone® is extremely effective in managing intense withdrawal symptoms associated with opioid use disorder without causing any side effects.

How Suboxone® (Alternative to Methadone) Works

Suboxone®, developed as an alternative to Methadone, works great in reversing the effects of opioid addiction. It contains Buprenorphine® and Naloxone® that helps patients cope with opioid withdrawal symptoms. Likewise, Suboxone® is a completely safe medication that helps the body better cope with cravings during the initial phases without harming your body.

Benefits of our Suboxone® prescription program include:

Reduced opioid dependency

Lesser recurrent craving

Low toxicity

Lower chances of developing methadone dependence

Our highly qualified doctors may prescribe Suboxone® as an alternative to Methadone during the initial and maintenance phases of your recovery process. Using Suboxone® to treat opioid addiction is extremely beneficial as it reduces relapse chances and builds up a strong foundation for further treatments. However, Suboxone® alone is not enough to treat opioid dependency. To combat this problem, we offer result-oriented therapy sessions to help you adapt to a sober and productive lifestyle. If you can not commit to our outpatient treatment program, you can simply avail virtual therapy sessions through our telehealth services.

  1. Hello I am very interested in seeing a doctor through telehealth and discuss if I am an ideal candidate for Methadone assisted therapy and treatment. I have a hip injury at the moment so I haven’t been unable to reach the Methadone clinics closest to me which are extremely far and my hip won’t allow it. Also, these clinics made it clear that I’d need to go everyday for my daily dose, and after explaining about my hip they told me they would not accommodate me.
