What Is Methadone Prescription Program?

Methadone is a safe and effective medicine prescribed as a part of our medication-assisted addiction treatment program. FDA has approved this drug to be used as part of treatment for opioid use disorders. Furthermore, methadone is extremely effective in managing intense pain management and withdrawal symptoms associated with opioid use disorder.

ChoicePoint doctors prescribe methadone if you are suffering from:

Opioid Addiction

Heroin Addiction

Opium Addiction

Prescription-Based Painkillers Addiction

How Methadone works

Methadone itself is an opioid. But don’t get confused; addictive opioids like opium and heroin give rise to health issues such as liver and kidney disease. On the other hand, methadone is a completely safe opioid that satisfies the body’s craving during the initial phases without harming your body.

Benefits of our methadone prescription program include:

Reduced opioid dependency

Lesser recurrent craving

Low toxicity

Lower chances of developing methadone dependence

Our highly qualified doctors may prescribe methadone during the initial and maintenance phases of your recovery process. Replacing addictive opioids with methadone during the initial phase is extremely beneficial as it reduces relapse chances and builds up a strong foundation for further treatments.

However, methadone alone is not enough to treat opioid dependency. To combat this problem, we offer result-oriented therapy sessions to help you adapt to a sober and productive lifestyle. If you can not commit to our outpatient treatment program, you can simply avail addiction therapy sessions through our telehealth services.

Are you struggling with opioid addiction but can not leave work commitments? Avail our virtual treatment program by contacting us at 844.445.2563 or reach out to us online.

  1. Hello I am very interested in seeing a doctor through telehealth and discuss if I am an ideal candidate for Methadone assisted therapy and treatment. I have a hip injury at the moment so I haven’t been unable to reach the Methadone clinics closest to me which are extremely far and my hip won’t allow it. Also, these clinics made it clear that I’d need to go everyday for my daily dose, and after explaining about my hip they told me they would not accommodate me.
