The Importance of Choosing a Good Addiction Treatment Center In Marlton NJ
When searching for the right Addiction Treatment Center In Marlton NJ, it’s essential not to rush. It is best to take your sweet time to find a facility that will truly help you start a new, sober life. Making an informed decision is far better than choosing the first option you come across. To help you in your search, here are 10 key factors to consider when selecting an addiction center in Marlton NJ for yourself or a loved one.
1. Addiction Treatment Programs
Treatment programs are designed to help individuals stop using illicit substances. When looking for a treatment center in Marlton NJ, be sure to check what types of programs they offer. Common addiction treatment programs include:
Inpatient (Residential) Rehab
Outpatient Programs
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
Telehealth Addiction Treatment
Each of these programs has its pros and cons. It’s up to you and your comfort level to choose the best fit.
2. Cost and Insurance
Addiction treatment can be expensive. So it’s important to consider costs when choosing an Addiction Treatment Center In Marlton NJ. Most addiction centers accept various insurance plans, but it’s crucial to confirm if your insurance is accepted before making a decision. When selecting a center, always:
Check their insurance policy.
Look out for any hidden fees.
Choose a center that accepts your insurance.
Keep your finances and budget in mind.
The cost of treatment usually depends on:
The type of facility.
The duration of the program.
The specific treatment plan you choose.
3. A Professional Staff
A professional and adequately staffed Addiction Treatment Center In Marlton NJ is crucial for effective treatment. When evaluating centers, ensure they:
Have sufficient professional staff members.
Include a team of psychologists, nurses, physicians, nutritionists, and dietitians.
Are willing to discuss their treatment programs with you.
4. Duration of Treatment Programs
The length of treatment will depend on the severity of your addiction, as advised by your healthcare provider. Some programs last for months, while others can be completed in a few weeks. Before committing, check the duration of the treatment programs offered. Choose an Addiction Treatment Center In Marlton NJ with a timeline that fits your work schedule and lifestyle, as this will make it easier for you to commit fully to the process.
5. Location
The location of the addiction center is an important factor to consider. Some prefer a center close to home, while others want one farther away. The right location can make a big difference in your treatment experience. Choosing a nearby center offers benefits like:
Easier access.
Less time spent traveling.
Reduced hassle and travel costs.
Fewer missed appointments.
6. Aftercare Program
After completing your treatment, it’s important to stay connected with counselors and healthcare providers. This ongoing support is known as an aftercare program. A good aftercare program may include:
Self-reflection therapies to help you set personal goals.
Individual therapy sessions to build self-confidence.
Cognitive-behavioral therapies to improve social interactions.
Group therapies to help reduce guilt and shame.
Dialectical behavior programs to manage anger issues.
A strong aftercare program is key to maintaining your recovery and preventing relapse. Look for a center that offers ongoing support, addresses emotional needs, and provides healthy coping strategies.
7. FDA-Approved Medications
Medications are a crucial part of addiction treatment. Ensure that the center you choose uses FDA-approved medications. Some common FDA-approved medications used during treatment include:
Methadone
Subutex
Naltrexone
Choosing a center that provides these medications is essential for effective treatment.
8. Subutex Medication Program
Subutex is an FDA-approved medication specifically used to treat opioid use disorders. It is prescribed to help with withdrawal symptoms, street drug addiction, or relapse after treatment. A center that offers a Subutex program is beneficial because:
Subutex helps manage withdrawal symptoms.
It doesn’t produce a high like other drugs.
It reduces frequent drug cravings.
9. Evidence-Based Practices
Ensure that the Addiction Treatment Center In Marlton NJ you choose uses evidence-based practices in treating drug addiction. These practices are proven to be effective and may include:
Medication
Behavioral Counseling
10. Medically Supervised Detox Program
A medically supervised detox program is essential when withdrawing from drugs. It ensures that all toxic substances are safely removed from the body, reducing the risk of relapse and easing withdrawal symptoms. The benefits of a medically supervised detox include:
Professional monitoring of withdrawal symptoms.
Increased chances of a successful detox.
Counseling sessions to support the detox process.
Taking the time to carefully consider these factors will help you find the best Addiction Treatment Center In Marlton NJ for your needs, setting you on the path to a healthier, sober life.

From the very beginning I’ve had such an amazing experience. My counselor Sam is beyond exceptional and the kindest person I know. She answers my calls and questions and has truly guided me through my journey. I would also like to give a shoutout to the front office coordinator who is so welcoming and supportive and has helped me so much as well. Thank you Sam and Leo for all you do!

Choicepoint has been a really wonderful option for me after waiting to seek treatment for a long time. Since being in the program for 2 1/2 months, I can already see a lot of changes in myself that I didn't anticipate happening so quickly. The team is very knowledgeable and good at explaining medical terminology around addiction into easily understandable language that was easy for me to digest. The group sessions were particularly helpful as they provided an opportunity to share time with others who are going through the same experience, which is not something I have in my "real" life. I had Darien and Sam for group, and both are very kind and good at creating a safe and friendly atmosphere where people that start as strangers feel comfortable sharing private things about themselves. Darien took time out of his day to help advise me once on natural remedies for anxiety, and Sam has a great candor and humor which makes group a pleasant experience - something I never would have expected going into the program. Joanna, the nurse at Choicepoint, is very kind and takes time to explain to you different options for MAT without pushing you in one direction - she explains everything so well that you feel very confident in whichever option you choose. Gina, who I had as a counselor, also helped me process how I make decisions and the behavior behind my actions, which has helped me to understand myself better. It's been a great thing for me and I really recommend it to anyone.
